The last part of August and first week of September have been a "wash." Sadly, we have been in Kansas City keeping a bedside vigil for my mother-in-law. She lasted 12 days without food or liquids and finally passed away in the early hours of Sunday, Sept. 2. All plans and details fell to my husband and his sister and there was lots to do. We finally returned late last night and I am now trying to catch up on things. I hope to post a few days this week before we go off on our previously planned family Alaskan cruise next week.
