Time flies

Especially when you're having fun with two little grandsons!

Baby Drew came home from the hospital Monday the 16th and I spent Wed through Fri in Albuquerque with them.  He is doing fine now and has already gained more than a pound! So far he
is a very mellow baby and is adjusting well to being home. Dana is recovering quickly from the c-section. I'll share just a few of the many photos we've taken.

As soon as I got home, my other daughter came into town to drop off Baby Carl for us to babysit during the weekend.  We've been having tons of fun but I'd forgotten just how much time little ones take!  Trying to get in as much hugging, holding and kissing as we can.

Hope to be arting again soon!

Introducing...

our second little grandson - Drew Gregory Grisham - born Sunday, July 8 at 12:25 pm. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 in. long.

He had a rough start. Dana was experiencing hard contractions when she was admitted to the hospital. When they started her IV, the baby's heartbeat plummeted and they rushed her in for an emergency c-section. She had to have a general so she wasn't awake for his birth nor was her husband allowed in. 15 minutes afterwards, he was delivered!  He was having trouble breathing so they immediately put him on oxygen. His white blood cell count was high also so they put him in the NICU. He's on antibiotics for the unknown infection and won't be able to go home for 7 days.

Dana was also on oxygen for a few hours, but she is up and walking around now and doing fine, other than being disappointed she won't be able to take him home when she is discharged tomorrow.

Other than his IV on his head (ouch) and wires attached to his little feet, he looks perfectly healthy. He has good color, is feeding and sleeping well and seems like a very mellow baby. He has lots of dark hair like his Mom did as well as her chubby cheeks!

It's so surreal to see your daughters with their own babies! I can't wait til the family is all home and we can cuddle and love on this little guy.

Happy 4th of July - almost

Is everyone getting in the red, white and blue spirit, ready for Wednesday?  I recently participated in a patriotic tags swap and received my package of 6 tags today, just in time!

This was the tag I created, using up lots of scraps I had on hand. The rosette in the lower right corner is a cupcake liner - love using those and they come in such darling patterns now.

Here are the six I received.

Laurie R

As a bonus, the hostess also included this cute ATC - such cute stamps! Thanks Regina for a fun swap.
