I am still in Albuquerque with my daughter and her family as the baby is still in NICU. Dana came home on Feb. 1, but she isn't able to drive until the end of this week. I have been taking 2 1/2 year old Drew to daycare in the morning, then taking Dana to the hospital for the 8:30 am feeding and staying through the 11:30 feeding. She stays for the 2:30 pm feeding, I pick her up in late afternoon and then get Drew from daycare. My son-in-law goes after work for the 5:30 feeding and they both return for the 9 pm. It's a busy schedule and doesn't leave much time for anything else!
The photo above was taken late last week after the IV, oxygen and bilirubin lights were removed. We were so excited to finally be able to put him in a T-shirt and hat and he could be swaddled! He's steadily improving and is now about 5 1/2 lbs. He's nursing and bottle-feeding well but still not taking the full feedings as he gets very tired! Who knew it was so exhausting to eat! We are praying his stamina improves as he won't be able to come home until he is eating independent of the feeding tube.
I am loving this special time with him just cuddling and holding him. And I'm loving spending precious time with Drew especially when his mom and dad are so busy.

What a precious little boy. You're pretty precious yourself, Grandma!!!! Your family is lucky to have you there to help out. This, too, shall pass and he'll be home soon.
Praying for all of you!
