Whew, it's been a hectic, exhausting, creative, productive and amazing week! The Little Blue House hosted our first Creative Christmas Open House on Friday and Saturday and it was a huge success. Our hard work creating all the beautiful holiday projects was well-rewarded when we shared it with all our wonderful customers and they were met with such a great response. Thank you all for visiting us this weekend and sharing our JOY!
Now on to more LBH news! Starting today, we will be sharing 12 Days of Ornaments on our blog. Each day one of the LBH Gals will post a holiday ornament, complete with instructions and photos so you can make one or more for yourself! And, one lucky commenter each day will win that day's ornament! So hop on over to the blog each day, leave us a comment, and you may receive a beautiful handmade ornament.
Today we are featuring Lolly's ornament created with the lovely Tinsel and Twig papers from The Girls' Paperie line. Here's a peak for you - isn't it pretty?

Christmas Cards
Want a head-start on your handmade Christmas cards this year? Over at The Little Blue House we are offering a class to make one, two or three different cards. The designing is done for you (and supplies cut and kitted) so you can mass produce these for all those special people on your list. They come in sets of 6 - choose your design, sign up for class and we will help you make these and have them done way before Christmas!
This was a collaborative effort among Tracy, Elaine and I; we each made a card. My card is the vintage one below - you can click over to the LBH to see all three.
And don't forget our Creative Christmas Open House this week on Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13, 10 am - 5 pm both days. We will have all our holiday classes showcased, a free make-n-take project, prize giveaways, refreshments and much more! Come visit us!

Birthday Cards
The past few weeks I've needed several birthday cards and here are a few special ones I made for two good art friends. They aren't hard to make, just time consuming - the kind you save for people who will really appreciate them! Lots of measuring and cutting...
This is the blue card, closed. Sorry for the off-color photo! Not sure what happened there. The second photo of the open card is truer color. Melissa Frances and Anna Griffin papers on this one.
The second card uses some "vintage" Anna Griffin papers - some of my most favorite ever. The labels were made with a Papertrey Ink mini-stamp set with a matching die.

My prize arrived!
The blog giveaway from Mod Podge Rocks arrived Wednesday evening and it really lifted my spirits to see all these happy "fat quarters" of cotton fabrics along with the Fabric Mod Podge, as I've been really sick this week. Today is the first day in many that I've actually felt human and I'm hoping I will soon feel back to normal. Not sure if it's the flu, but I certainly don't want it again! Anyway, I've got to think of some great project to make with these goodies. Any thoughts from my readers? (Thanks again to Amy of Mod Podge Rocks for this awesome giveaway!)

New Fall Projects
Now that Halloween is over, are you ready for some new fall projects that don't incorporate witches, monsters, bats and other scary creatures? The Little Blue House has just introduced several new projects: one fall layout and a Thanksgiving layout; a darling "So Thankful" fall mini-book and my technique cards.
Here are the samples for the card class. As always, I like to use several different techniques and "lotions and potions" to help customers play with products before purchasing and learn how to use them. In this class I featured the new Shimmerz Spritz, Vibez, Blingz and Shimmerz as well as Perfect Pearls. (Don't know what those are? Then you need to take my class!)
So, if you're a local gal, stop by the store anytime (except Sundays when we are closed) to see these in detail along with all the other fun projects. You can also call at 817-431-7930 to reserve a spot.

I'm a Winner!
I'd totally forgotten that I had left a comment on the Mod Podge Rocks blog (one of 442!!) and I just heard that I was one of the winners of this:
I love Mod Podge but have never used the new formula for fabric so I will have fun trying this out. And, you can never have enough fabric... Can't wait to receive my goodies - thank you so much Mod Podge Rocks!
Be sure to check out their blog - different projects are posted daily and it's a fun, fun blog.

Halloween Cards
The worst thing about hand-making cards is once you send a homemade card to someone, you're stuck for life and can never go back to buying a quick card to get in the mail! Not that that is a bad thing, but sometimes you're in a time-crunch. Since I had to get some Halloween cards off to my four girls TODAY, I decided to make them all alike and here's what I came up with. I love that sentiment stamp (a new one this year from Michael's dollar spot), but thought it might not be appropriate for the two who are now married, so I added "and Ghys" after the Ghouls. These were quickies, but they will all appreciate them.
