LBH 12 Days of Ornaments - Days 4, 5 and 6

I've neglected my blog again this week and am behind in posting three more days of the LBH ornaments. Be sure to check out the full tutorials on the LBH blog: www.thelittlebluehouseblog.blogspot.com

These are Kristyn's super fun and easy ornaments for Day 4 using Ikea candle dishes! She used photos of her niece and nephew in one and her and her new husband in the other, along with a cute sticker sheet from Echo Park's "Home for the Holidays" paper collection. I know we had these dishes stocked at LBH, but they may have sold out by now.

Day 5's darling little lightbulb ornaments with a tiny little tree inside were created by Valerie Bishop, who is one of our Front Porch Kit designers. The lightbulbs and trees are available at the LBH if you want to create your own.

And here is Day 6's cute paper frame ornament designed by Natalie Sheeran (1/2 of The Blue Crew). She used several Reverse Confetti dies, the new Silver Wink of Stella pen that just arrived at LBH, and the Fancy Pants "Oh Deer" paper collection. I love it!

With those, we are now halfway through the days of ornaments. Check back for more in the next few days!

LBH 12 Days of Ornaments - Days 2 and 3

Days 2 and 3 are now up on the LBH blog! You don't want to miss these fantabulous ornaments so check them out here: www.thelittlebluehouseblog.blogspot.com
Be sure to comment each day as one commenter will be randomly chosen to win the ornament for that day. (We each are making two - one for the LBH tree and one for a winner!)

Day 2 featured Tracy Pounds and Lynette Chiles jointly. They re-created the gorgeous original "Pickers" shutter angel (see that on the blog as well) with small dollhouse shutters! Tracy's creation is above and a few of Lynette's are below.

Aren't they precious? Exclusive angel ornament kits for the basics needed to create this ornament are available at the LBH.

Day 3 featured Elaine Howell, our resident Silhouette and vinyl expert! She designed these adorable ornaments with clear plastic "treat" tubes. I love how she incorporated the vinyl (check out her tutorial on the blog) but she also gives instructions for using paper instead.

She even made a third ornament using the tube for real treats - they look so cute inside. Check out the LBH blog for more information and tutorials and stop by the LBH to see these cuties on our tree!

October Rolodex Art Journaling Cards

Two weeks late, but here are the Rolodex cards I managed to get done in October. We babysat in Albuquerque for several days early in the month, then babysat Carl here for five days. In between I was sick for at least ten days with the virus that everyone has had.  I didn't get one done for each day but nineteen isn't too bad considering it was such a busy month!

Getting back on track

I've been bad - almost two weeks without blogging! Not that I've been sitting around doing nothing. Since I last posted I've created projects for the LBH Open House last weekend, taught several classes and gone to Las Vegas to meet my daughter's fiancé's parents.

I'm late in posting last month's Rolodex Art Journaling cards, but still have to take and edit photos, so those will be posted in a few days.  Today I want to remind you that the Little Blue House annual "12 Days of Ornaments" started today.  Every day for the next 12 days we will be posting a handmade ornament on the blog here: www.thelittlebluehouseblog.blogspot.com. Check the blog daily and be sure to comment. One winner will be chosen each day to receive that ornament. If you are local, stop by the LBH to see all the lovelies on our Christmas tree!

Today's darling snow globe ornament was created by Susan Liles featuring several Reverse Confetti stamps (which are exclusive to the LBH or RC online).

Tomorrow we will feature an ornament co-created by Tracy and Lynette.

I'm late - for Halloween!

Hope everyone had a fun and candy-filled Halloween! My little grandsons were so cute in their costumes. We even were able to go trick-or-treating with Carl as they came into town to spend the weekend with his two little cousins in Plano. How cute it was to see those three littles (oldest is 3) figuring out what it was all about and then getting really into it!

Drew went as "Boots" from Dora, his favorite show

Carl was Superman - last minute costume change - don't ask

These were the treats I made them. Didn't want to do a lot of candy since they are so young, so found these on Pinterest.

Frankenstein snack cups (snacks from Walmart, painted cup, added cut
black card stock hair, eyes and drew on mouth - Peanut butter cup "bolts")

Small Playdoh containers with goggly eyes and pipe cleaner spider
legs glued on. Original pin had pipe cleaners in colors to match
lid but I only bought 1 package.

Each of them got a fun-size M&M package but I put Drew's in
this treat bag made at the LBH Make&Take last weekend.
I only had one so it had to go in his mailed package!

Again, Happy Halloween everyone! It's on to Thanksgiving and then Christmas. (Actually I'm very busy creating Christmas projects this week for our Holiday Open House on Saturday!)
