What do you do with your scraps? I went to my monthly "Scrapstashers" class today - we are given a list of scraps and supplies to bring and we do a "mystery" project. The idea is to use up what we have.
Today we made this cute calendar/planner. It's approximately 8 1/2 x 11" and was $1 from the Dollar Tree store. The same idea could be used for any book, journal, calendar, planner you wanted. We cut scraps of printed papers into 1" strips which were then cut into 3", 4" and 5" pieces. Since this planner was vinyl, I first covered it with coordinating cardstock with Tacky Tape; then the papers were adhered with regular monoadhesive. Two holes were punched in the front cover only and ribbon tied through (this is purely decorative). The initial is a grungeboard letter covered with gold Perfect Pearls, run through the Cuttlebug and then the raised areas wiped with a reddish-coppery Perfect Pearls. This was then covered with Glossy Accents before adhering to the cover.
This was a simple and very fun project. Everyone's came out totally different, depending on the scraps they brought!
